For over thirty years, I have been teaching at high schools, middle schools, elementary schools and junior college in northern California. During that time I have also been offering SAT/ACT Prep classes. I believe the most important element in education is the teacher and his or her experience and ability to communicate effectively. I have made SAT/ACT prep training the focus of my work and have helped many students improve their scores. In the ’98–’99 school year I took the test, with the HS students, four times and achieved a perfect score. I know this test very well. Most importantly, I communicate the information in a simple, interesting manner. I concentrate on techniques of problem solving that can really make a difference. I also address proper attitude, use of time and other test-taking skills.

I am frequently asked about my success rate in improving students’ scores. I have had many students improve significantly. The students who improve most from my class have a good foundation in basic skills, pay attention in class, and practice at home. In acquiring any skill there is no substitute for practice.
