SAT Prep Classes in Auburn, Roseville and Grass Valley
I have been teaching at high schools, middle schools, elementary schools and junior college in northern California for over twenty years. During that time I have also been offering SAT Prep workshops. I believe the most important element in education is the teacher and his or her experience and ability to communicate effectively. I have made SAT prep training the focus of my work and have helped many students improve their scores. In the ’98–’99 school year I took the test, with the HS students, four times and achieved a perfect score. I know this test very well. Most importantly, I communicate the information in a simple, interesting manner. My SAT preparation classes are fun, stimulating, positive and effective. I concentrate on techniques of problem solving that can really make a difference. I also address proper attitude, use of time and other test-taking skills.
This year I’m happy to offer a schedule of SAT classes at two locations, Roseville and Auburn. All classes will end before the first SAT test of the year in October. The cost of a 5-day workshop, including review book & other materials, is $400. Students may attend classes at more than one location if necessary. If you are looking for help at other times of the year, please call as I work individually and with small groups throughout the year. If you cannot afford the tuition for a class at this time, please write to inquire about a partial or full scholarship.
I am frequently asked about my success rate in improving students’ scores. I have had many students improve significantly. The students who improve most from my class have a good foundation in basic skills, pay attention in class, and practice at home. In acquiring any skill there is no substitute for practice. If you have any questions about the SAT prep workshops or about the SAT test, please give me a call.
